The images below show the process for creating this key art for Ricky Zoom.
The brief asked for the image to include the hero Ricky and his buddies Loop, DJ and Scootio. We also had to feature Steel Awesome, a movie star that Ricky idolises and his Stunt Rider, a giant bike that would also be the big toy release that year.
We started by finding reference and presenting mood boards, we then developed rough compositions in Photoshop using existing images before working up sketches. The sketches were used to create the 3D poses and the track which was developed in vector. The poses and track were then finessed in Photoshop to create the final key art.
